BNP Paribas Russia Goodwill Initiatives and Charity Activities

The BNP Paribas Group constantly reaffirms its commitment to upholding its role
as an active corporate citizen of Russia. The Group is recognized for contributing to a wide range of socially responsible and charity actions. It supports several Russian Orphanages as well as medical research. Each year, BNP Paribas donates considerable sums to charities and associations.

Nadezhda Orphanage

Since 2007, the BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division in Russia
has supported the Nadezhda orphanage. Located at 100 km from Moscow, it is a home for more than 200 mentally disabled children. Most of them come from socially unprotected families or do not have parents at all.

Over the last years, BNP Paribas CIB has supported the renovation of numerous premises of the orphanage. Installation of new windows helps keeping children’s playrooms and dormitories warm and comfortable. Renovation of the bathrooms and kitchen improves children’s quality of life. BNP Paribas CIB has also organized special computer classes at Nadezhda.

Pasteur Institute

The BNP Paribas Group has been supporting medical projects for the non-profit organization Pasteur Institute. The Pasteur Institute was founded in France and performs its activities all around the world. The institute aims at preventing and curing infectious
diseases by way of research, educational programmes and carrying out public health events.

In Russia, BNP PARIBAS ZAO has been supporting the projects of the Pasteur Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology located in St. Petersburg since 2007. Each year, the bank selects and supports a special research programme aimed at fighting  infectious diseases in
Russia.

Pervomaisky orphanage

Arval Russia, BNP Paribas leasing solutions provider, partners with the Pervoimaisky
orphanage
located near the historic Russian town of Kostroma. This orphanage also provides special care to the mentally disabled children.

In 2010, the orphanage moved to newly constructed premises. Financial support from Arval Russia helps them settle in their new home.
